Casa de Si was established in 2011 and since then we have purchased a number of small vineyards in the Calatayud region of Spain (about 200 kilometres north-east of Madrid).  The region is famous for the hospitality of its people, its arid conditions and world class old-vine Garnacha (Grenache). The ancient low-yielding vines in our vineyard were planted over 80 years ago.  Our vineyards are farmed 100% organic/biodynamic.  

 

Our mission is to hand craft natural wines, which are expressive of the vineyard and region.  We bottle our wines without fining or filtration as we believe that these processes take away aromas and flavours from the wine. We believe a little sediment in the bottom of the bottle only creates a more authentic wine.  All our wines are made without any of the usual additives used in commercial wine making, apart from a small sulphur addition at bottling.
