Growers since 1789, grower producers since 1935, the Lelarge family farms 8 hectares in the unique sandy/clay terroir of Vrigny, a Premier Cru village. The ancestral and dominant grape of the domaine is Pinot Meunier. The vineyards are certified organic by Ecocert and for the last couple years, we’ve been practicing biodynamie. In the cellars, the wines must be manipulated as little as possible. We believe that the work has to be done in the vineyard.
Fermentation is undergone through the help of indigenous yeast. The wines are then aged on the lees in oak, foudres or tanks for a minimum of 6 months. Bottle aging takes then, place from 30 months to 10 years, depending on the wines.
