René and Agnès Mosse and their sons Joseph and Sylvestre are vignerons and winemakers in the Loire Valley, just south of Angers. They bought their property in Saint-Lambert-Du-Lattay in 1999 and have 16 hectares of vines, made up of several different parcels.

They have always farmed organically, working the soil by turning the weeds back into the earth where they nourish the micro-organisms that are essential for the vines to draw nutrients from the soil.

Their grapes are picked by hand, with the whites pressed immediately and the reds macerated for 2-3 weeks before pressing. The still wines are matured in wooden barrels of varying ages which are reused over several years. They add a small quantity of sulphites to each barrel, about a month before the wine for each cuvée is blended and settled before bottling.
