The Gentle Folk journey began in 2012 after Gareth and Rainbo met a couple of hairy wine makers in the Adelaide Hills.  It started with three barrels and has grown each year to its current size.  With this growth has seen the leasing of a number of special vineyards around Basket Range, Ashton and Forest Range that they are restoring and farming organically and biodynamically. Cool sites, hand harvesting, low yields and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar are used to make wines with maximum drinkability and deliciousness in mind.
