Swartland is a wine region in South Africa that was once known as one of the larger, more industrial growing regions, specialising in fortified and bulk wines. A dedicated group of growers has emerged who are reclaiming older vineyards, and a unique mix of Rhone grape varieties. The growers established the Swartland Independent which defines and promotes sustainably grown, natural wines. Join the brilliant, charismatic winegrower Adi Badenhorst (AA Badenhorst) in a tasting and discussion about how the revolution, and the brilliant wines, came about, and how this initiative might be applicable in Australia.
