I was determined from the outset to go against the emerging trend towards the intensive use of potentially damaging, highly synthesised chemicals in agriculture and return to the clean, balanced methods of old in my new vineyard.

 

As a pioneer of the Heathcote region, organic since inception in 1975, and biodynamic since 1998, I’m confident that this philosophy allows the truest expression of terroir, or energy of place. With 33 vintages behind me, I think I’ve shown that it can be done, and can continue into the future.
