After completing formal studies in wine making I gained experience working in California and then in the Mount Etna region of Sicily. In 2015 I returned home to Western Australia and set up a small operation using organically grown fruit from Margaret River.

My philosophies are simple I think. The first and most important step is caring for the earth and limiting our impact. So the fruit has to be grown organically, no compromise here. I don’t do any additions (including no SO2), fining, filtration or any other tricks or adjustments so it’s imperative the fruit is grown well and handpicked when sugars, acidity and flavours of the grapes are naturally balanced.

After pressing the wines go through a natural malolactic fermentation before being put into either neutral food grade plastic containers or stainless steel VC tanks. I’m all about fruit purity and showcasing the amazing fruit and the soil it grows in rather than masking that with oak.  All wines are bottled unfined, unfiltered and with zero SO2 added at any stage of the process.

These are living wines that are meant to be delicious, drinkable and maybe even good for you.
